The current political crisis in Andhra Pradesh is turning out to be one of the biggest nightmares in Tollywood, especially for top-ranking stars. Though they have nothing to do with Telangana and Samaikhya Andhra, they are paying the price. After the political stand taken by Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu, it is now the turn of Harikrishna (Late NTR’s son and TDP supporter). The latest we hear that their relatives whose films have crores of rupees staked on them, are running into unforeseen and unwarranted troubles. After the boycott of Allu Arjun’s Arya 2 and Ram Charan’s Magadheera by the Joint Action Committee (a body fighting for the cause of statehood to Telangana), the next on the list is Jr. NTR. The actor’s Adurs, slated for a December 25 release, is likely to face challenges in Telangana, following his father Harikrishna’s anti-Telangana stand. Manchu Brothers also have new troubles coming their way. If Saleem is already written off by the critics, it is now the target of Telangana patriots. The film has been boycotted voluntarily in the region. Losses in crores are guaranteed to other films too, with people liking the Samaikhya Andhra-Telangana drama better than other entertainment.
