The Jr. NTR starrer Adhurs finally hit the screens today after a considerable delay. Jr. NTR essayed a dual role in the film. Let us see how far the film has managed to wow the audience.
The film is about twins – separated at birth by an old Brahmin lady as her daughter in-law has given birth to a still born child, she replaces the dead child with one of the twins. While Narasimha stays with his mother, Chari grows up in a Brahmin family.
Chari ekes out a living as a priest under the guidance of Bhat (Brahmanandam). Narasimha wants to become a police officer and works as a undercover agent cum informer for police officer Sayaji Shinde.
Narasimha’s father Nazar a military officer, is presumed to be dead in a accident but it is not so. A wicked gangster Baba (Mahesh Manjrekar) has kidnapped this army officer and kept him hostage in a secret island. Baba forces Nazar to develop a satellite guided missile which he wants to sell to the underworld.
The middle aged Bhat is in love with Chandu (Nayanatara) and asks Chari to help him in his love matter. To his shock, Chandu falls in love with Chari. On a parallel level, Narasimha falls in love with Indu (Sheela) daughter of Sayaji Shinde.
The scene shifts to Kolkata as Nazar wants to meet his family before he can develop the missile. Baba sends Narasimha to meet his father. Narasimha after learning that his father is alive escapes from the clutches of Baba.
The associates of Baba bring in Chari in Narasimha’s place in order to placate Baba and also convince Nazar. The rest of the story is how the twins foil Baba’s plans and save their father.
